About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to lead our export shipment operations. This role is fully responsible for the execution of outbound logistics across Middle East, India, Europe, and Latin America — from booking and container loading to customs clearance, documentation, and team management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management
Lead, allocate, and supervise daily work of the logistics team (booking, documentation, customs clearance, tracking).
Establish departmental SOPs and conduct regular training to enhance team capability.
Serve as the final approver for complex documentation and escalation point for critical exceptions.
2. Shipment Execution
Develop monthly/weekly shipping schedules based on sales orders and production timelines.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and trucking companies for booking, container pick-up, and port delivery.
Review and approve container loading plans to maximize space utilization while ensuring cargo safety.
Monitor shipment milestones and provide regular status updates to the operations team.
3. Customs Clearance & Documentation
Oversee the preparation and final review of all export declaration documents (commercial invoice, packing list, customs declaration, etc.).
Ensure accurate data entry into the China Single Window system.
Manage L/C-related documentation review and negotiation, ensuring strict compliance with UCP600 and ISBP standards to avoid discrepancies.
Maintain communication with Customs and CIQ authorities to ensure full regulatory compliance.
4. Market-Specific Operations
Middle East / India: Ensure proper documentation (e.g., SABER for Saudi, BIS/AD code for India) and secure sufficient detention-free days at destination.
Europe: Guarantee packaging compliance (ISPM-15, PPW directives) and accurate ENS/ICS2 advance manifest filing.
Latin America: Oversee timely issuance of Certificate of Origin (FORM A / CO) and handle legalization/consular certification as required (e.g., Brazil, Argentina).
5. Cost Control & Carrier Management
Lead the development, negotiation, and annual evaluation of logistics service providers (forwarders, shipping lines, trucking companies).
Establish monthly logistics cost analysis reports by trade lane, monitor freight rate fluctuations, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
Negotiate long-term rate agreements for key routes (especially Europe and Latin America).
6. Data & Reporting
Maintain accurate shipment records (booking number, vessel/voyage, ETD/ETA, freight cost, clearance status).
Submit monthly logistics performance reports to management, covering on-time delivery rate, cost variance, and exception summaries.
