Brief description of the position:
This position combines strategic AI understanding with strong execution and coding capability. Its core purpose is to conduct systematic research on AI PMT-landscapes, translate technological insights into actionable strategies, and drive the effective deployment of AI PMT-solutions aligned with the division's strategic priorities and the company's overall objectives.
Key Tasks:
Oversee AI tech. market maturity; develop quantitative scoring framework, pinpoint TOP high-potential techs to fuel R&D value creation.
Design & orchestrate the VW R&D's AI Roadmap & iteration; define TOP core scenarios and phased milestones with clear success metrics.
Design AI strategic alignment evaluation system with weighted indicators; update R&D AI demand radar to prioritize high-impact needs from critical BU.
Steer V-model AI deployment strategies; combine expert-level coding capability with the ability to drive AI adoption across teams in product development environments.
Lead systematic AI landscape & business value research; deliver strategic reports with actionable insights, overseeing high closure efficiency.
Curate TOP cutting-edge AI innovations; conduct feasibility assessments, champion key R&D pilots annually with clear measurable success benchmarks.
Establish strategic AI evaluation system (R&D efficiency, cost optimization); track pilot KPIs to ensure core projects achieve predefined measurable ROI.
Acts as the technical lead for hands-on AI Implementation and solution development with deep technical guidance on AI in designing, coding and deploying AI solution.
Collaborate strategically with finance on annual AI budget; estimate tech. deployment/tooling/pilot costs, analyzing financial return of AI project.
Synergize with critical R&D BUs, aggregate AI demand insights, facilitate cross-functional reviews, prioritize initiatives by strategic alignment.
Qualification and skills required for the position:
Education:
Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business analysis or related technical disciplines or bachelor's degree with exceptional professional experience.
Working experience:
Minimum 4 years of professional experience in AI technology research, development, or strategic management; at least 3 years of experience in AI/strategy area within the automotive R&D industry.
Knowledge, skills and others:
Profound knowledge of AI technology system (incl. genAI, machine learning, deep learning, etc.) and proven hands-on AI coding expertise
In-depth understanding of automotive R&D processes and technical architecture
Familiarity with China's AI-related laws, regulations, and compliance standards
Solid grasp of enterprise-level technology strategic planning and value conversion logic
Expertise in AI technology selection, feasibility evaluation, and strategic roadmap formulation
Strong cross-functional collaboration and resource integration capabilities to drive cross-department
