Digital Transformation Lead / Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Role

We are seeking a Business Developer with deep expertise in Data- and AI-driven solutions to bridge business needs and technical execution. In this hybrid role, you will act as both Digital Transformation Lead and Forward Deployed AI Engineer—defining strategy while also building, prototyping, and deploying AI solutions alongside agile development teams in R&D China.

You will work hands-on with business users to identify operational pain points, rapidly prototype practical AI applications, and scale them into production-grade systems that deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities:

· Strategy & Roadmap – Define and execute digital transformation strategies that leverage data and AI to improve growth, efficiency, and decision-making.

· Solution Development – Design, build, and deploy scalable AI-powered applications and automation workflows that address real business challenges.

· Prototyping to Production – Rapidly prototype solutions with end users, validate in live environments, and evolve successful pilots into maintainable production systems.

· Data Integration & UX – Integrate enterprise and operational data sources to deliver reliable, contextual AI outputs; design intuitive interfaces and workflows that drive daily adoption.

· Performance & Governance – Establish KPIs, monitor solution performance, gather user feedback, and ensure continuous improvement while maintaining scalability, security, and compliance.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with business, IT, data, and security teams to identify high-value use cases and align solutions with enterprise standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data, AI, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

· Proven experience building AI-assisted applications, agents, dashboards, or automation tools for business users.

· ⁠Strong programming skills in Python, with hands-on experience in frameworks such as LangGraph, LangFuse, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

· Solid understanding of data pipelines, APIs, context engineering, model evaluation, and observability.

· Experience with product development processes and early-stage discovery.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice-to-Have:

· Knowledge of Mandarin.

· Familiarity with manufacturing or R&D environments, preferably in automotive or heavy vehicles.

· Experience in business case development, change management, or client-facing consulting roles.
