Senior Communication Specialist

Role summary

We are looking for a Senior Communications Specialist who turns communication needs into concrete, engaging deliverables.

The assignment requires someone who can step in quickly, take ownership and deliver engaging internal communications with a strong focus on execution, stakeholder coordination and measurable reach to strengthen R&D China’s position across China as well as internally within Scania/TRATON.

This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of strategic thinking, rather than a pure content producing role. We need someone who has previously owned and delivered communication campaigns, who can work independently from day one, and is comfortable operating at pace in an international and cross-brand context.

Job responsibilities

You will develop and execute communication initiatives that support product launches, corporate milestones, and regional storytelling, shaping our narrative across diverse media landscapes.

Working in an international, fast-paced and high-autonomy environment, you will collaborate closely with product development and market insight teams to translate complex topics into clear and compelling narratives. You will contribute to high-impact communications across consumer, corporate, and product areas, while continuously challenging status quo, embracing new tools and technologies, and engaging with stakeholders to elevate the buzz around the Next Era product.

Who you are

You are a highly execution focused and a hands-on senior communicator who is pragmatic and delivery-minded whose main focus is delivering high-quality communication out to the target audience without unnecessary delays.

You take ownership and independently drive activities through to completion rather than only developing strategies or recommendations.

You have:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Media and Communications or related field.

Documented experience in strategic and operational communication work and experience with communication in digital channels, including independent production and publishing.

A proven ability to develop and execute strategic communications plans in fast-paced and complex environments.

A strong stakeholder coordination capability and is comfortable gathering input and testimonials, coordinating with vendors and other communication resources, and ensuring alignment with central communication guidelines.

Experience in commissioning and coordinating communication initiatives or campaigns from external suppliers

Experience in campaign and behavior-change communication across multiple communication formats – with a track record of driving engagement and action, rather than only publishing informational updates.

Experience working with AI tools or new technologies to enhance communications impact

It is a big advantage if you have experience from technology-driven organizations.
