System Control Engineer II

No. SC-OPS-SCEII-COW) Responsibilities : Reporting to the Chief System Control Engineer, the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities: • To control and monitor the Company's power system and coordinate the work on the High Voltage (HV) apparatus • To assist in assessing distribution outages and prepare switching programmes and contingency plans to maintain the continuity and security of supply of the distribution system • To carry out operations related to HV equipment outages, commissioning and routine testing • To perform duties of 24-hour shift roster or irregular hours Requirements : • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines • A minimum of 2 years' work experience in operation, control, planning and/or other relevant areas in the power industry • Good understanding in distribution network and power system operations • Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written Working Location : Ap Lei Chau, transportation to be provided Application : If you are interested in this position, please send your resume and the Application Form (in PDF format) to the Human Resources Division, The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd. at recruit@hkelectric.com.
