Application Support Engineer

The Role

Tesla is hiring an Application Support Engineer in Shanghai for the IT Application / Supply Chain Software team. You will support the internal ERP, mainly transportation, intercompany transfer, and inventory.

You will support production systems for vehicle logistics, shipment, stock movement, and inventory, and work with local and global teams in a fast factory environment.

You will handle production support, root-cause analysis, automation, and process improvement. Software product support or development experience is required. You must be able to use AI to solve problems.

Responsibilities

Handle transportation, intercompany transfer, and inventory tickets from supply-chain users.

Monitor production ERP and related interfaces; find root cause, apply a quick fix, and push for a long-term fix.

Work with software, logistics, and warehouse teams to keep shipment, inventory, and transfer data accurate.

Test new features, and build tools or scripts to reduce repeat work.

Develop fixes and small features in .NET and Go, and use AI to speed up troubleshooting, log analysis, and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar.

2+ years of work experience in software product support or development.

Able to use AI to solve problems, including coding, log analysis, ticket triage, and root-cause analysis.

Experience with transportation, warehouse, inventory, ERP, or supply chain systems; solid SQL and reporting skills.

Can work under pressure and explain technical issues clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

Development experience in .NET and Go, including Vibe Coding.

Good English communication skills.
