Brief description of the position/ Range of responsibility:
Together with our suppliers, we develop innovative steering systems for Volkswagen China. In cross functional project teams we work on mechanical, electronical and software-based solutions. Our work begins with the definition of requirements and continues through testing of the components and on vehicle level to finally release our products on schedule. The steering system function testing engineer is responsible for performing software related tests on vehicle level, solving the software issues jointly with our suppliers and verifying the results.
Key Tasks:
· Plan test activities according to project development schedule
· Test preparation including vehicle preparation, test set-up, part deliveries, etc.
· Create test cases and test routines according to technical requirements
· Test conduction, results evaluation and verification
· Problem solving
Qualification and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree or above (graduation from 985/211 university preferred), majored in automobile, engineering, IT, sciences or similar fields
· Strong sense of self-drive and responsibility
· Good communication skills and team spirit
· More than 1~2 years working experience in the automotive industry, especially in steering system development and/or software development
· Familiar with CANape, diagnostic tools and other software tools
· Good driving skills
