Brief description of the position:

Recommendation for Whole Vehicle Approval (GFA-Gesamtfahrzeug Abnahme) and Whole Vehicle Release (GFF-Gesamtfahrzeug Freigabe). Project leading in EG department, steering, and management from whole vehicle technical perspective along the project milestones. The contribution of this position will be essential to fulfill the technical whole vehicle requirements, timing, quality, and cost targets.

Key Tasks:

To represent EG, to issue statements in behalf of EG, and to participate in the relevant committees (Pilot Hall, Technical Meetings, Project Meetings, driving events, etc.)

To negotiate the job split with EG VWAG and JVs in China in order to ensure the resources needed for EG in our company: manpower, financial resources, and test vehicles.

To assess the whole vehicle level of maturity for each project milestone on the basis of the technical input from all other areas within EG and issue the Milestone Report (Meilensteinbericht GFA and GFF) in each project milestone and to agree it with the FGS in VWAG and JVs in China. Escalation to project team and high level to push the soloving of risks during EG development activity.

To lead and to coordinate the meetings with all FGS from all other areas of R&D.

To inform and to explain all areas of EG about the technical details regarding new projects as well as model changes (Technical Product Description, new technologies, new functions, etc.), in order to get all areas involved as well as to allow all areas to estimate resources needed.

To control project resources of EG in order to keep them in target: manpower, financial means, vehicles.

To ensure the test vehicles needed for development activities in EG for project.

To track the test plan and ensure the fulfillment of test programs in EG, not only in our company but also in VWAG.

To know and to understand the nature of all failures and faults that may appear in the different stages of the project development and to coordinate the efforts to solve them with all areas of EG or R&D.

To follow up and evaluate the top issues from test drives, marketing, and quality regarding the project under his/her responsibility.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

Engineering Bachelor Degree : Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Automotive, or similar.

Working experience: more than 3-5 years.

Working experience in whole vehicle development and testing is preferred

Vehicle professional knowledge (development/testing)

Project management knowledge (time management / planning / monitoring)

Deep understanding of automotive development processes and procedures

Good presentation and communication skills

Problem solving skills

Capable of leading and managing project indecently

Excellent business language skills in English (written and oral) mandatory

Working experience in VW group and German is plus
