Company Overview

Our client is a well-established retail business with a sizeable frontline workforce across Hong Kong. They are looking for an experienced HR professional to join the team as a key HR Business Partner

Key Responsibilities

Act as a trusted HR Business Partner to business leaders and retail operations teams.

Provide end-to-end generalist HR support, including employee relations, performance management, talent management, and organizational development.

Handle complex employee relations matters, disciplinary cases, staff grievances, investigations, and escalation cases.

Manage labour disputes and liaise with external parties on employment-related claims, Labour Tribunal, and legal matters when required.

Partner closely with business stakeholders on workforce planning, retention, succession planning, and people strategies.

Support compensation and benefits initiatives, annual salary review, bonus exercises, and manpower budgeting.

Ensure HR policies and practices comply with Hong Kong employment regulations and company standards.

Drive HR projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance employee experience and operational effectiveness.

Requirement

Degree holder in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines.

Around 8-15 years of solid HR experience, with strong exposure as an HR Generalist/HRBP.

Proven experience supporting a retail business, ideally from mass retail, FMCG retail, supermarket, pharmacy, beauty, lifestyle, or other consumer-facing industries.

Strong hands-on experience in employee relations, staff case management, grievance handling, disciplinary matters, and labour-related issues.

Sound understanding of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and labour practices.

Exposure to compensation & benefits would be highly preferred, with a strong commercial and cost-conscious mindset.

Mature, resilient, and capable of managing stakeholders across different levels.

Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
