Position Overview

At Third Bridge, our clients consist of some of the largest private equity funds, hedge funds, mutual funds and management consulting firms, who are serviced by a team of over 1400 employees located across ten global offices. We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels in finding innovative and timely solutions.

The Compliance Manager will manage a team of Compliance Associates and Senior Associates based in Shanghai, and report to the Head of Compliance, China. This person will be a self-starter with strong commercial acumen who plays a key role in optimising compliance-related workflow, whilst mitigating risk, to contribute directly to the success of the Third Bridge.

Responsibilities

Directly manage and mentor team members, taking an active role in performance management to drive industry leading compliance performance and optimise efficiency.

Autonomously drive decision-making, workflows, and escalations for timely resolution.

Engage with clients on compliance requirements, product offerings, and issues/concerns.

Support the development and delivery of training, policy documents, and ad hoc projects.

Identify gaps and implement improvements to team workflows and guidelines.

Monitor and deliver data related to key performance metrics and compliance health.

Liaise with internal stakeholders to promote best practices and understand business needs.

Ensure Third Bridge is compliant with applicable laws, internal compliance procedures, and client-specific processes.

Anticipate and mitigate potential exposure regarding regulatory frameworks within the China market.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required

6 + years previous work experience (at least 3 years experience within legal, compliance, or risk required)

2-3 years + management experience required

Law or other graduate degree preferred
