Brief introduction of this position:
You will cultivate deep relationships with tier-1 automotive, technology, business, and lifestyle media, while proactively shaping coverage around vehicle launches, corporate milestones, and thought leadership.
Key tasks:
• Strategic Media Planning & Execution – Develop and implement integrated media relations strategies for new vehicle launches, technology debuts and corporate announcement.
• Media Relationship Cultivation – Build and maintain a robust network of journalists, editors, influencers, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) across automotive, tech, business, and sustainability beats.
• Crisis Comms & Reputation Management – Monitor media sentiment and emerging issues in real time; lead rapid-response protocols, draft holding statements, and coordinate with other departments.
• Agency & Budget Management – Supervise external PR agencies and freelance writers; manage media-related budgets, including paid media partnerships, sponsorships, and content syndication, ensuring cost.
• Organize and support off-line PR events (workshop, roundtable, test drive, auto show) to engage media with a unique and smooth media logistics experience.
• Engage with marketing department to ensure that PR campaigns align with strategic goals, growth plans, and new-business opportunities.
• Support to tackle crisis situations and sensitive issues, help draft reactive/passive statement and communicate with media to maintain company’s good reputation.
Qualification and skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in public relations, marketing, or advertising.
2. 1-3 years of experience with auto industry, working experience as a PR professional
3. Education: A Bachelor's degree is mandatory, typically in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Business. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is a strong plus.
4. Language Skills: fluent in English, German is a plus.
5. Soft Skills: High resilience, impeccable integrity, strong communication skills.
