Principle CPU Design Verification Engineer and Lead

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven CPU IP Design Verification Leader to spearhead the verification of next-generation high-performance CPU cores based on ARM Architecture. In this critical role, you will own the end-to-end verification strategy for complex CPU IP, leading a team of talented DV engineers. You will partner closely with ARM architecture specialists, RTL designers, and performance modeling teams to ensure our IP meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and functional safety for premium computing applications.

You'll be responsible for:

Shape and evolve verification methods and frameworks to improve coverage, scalability, and efficiency.

Anticipate challenges and design practical, forward-thinking solutions that help multiple teams succeed.

Act as the primary technical contact across Software, Design, and Product teams.

Coach and mentor engineers, helping them grow their skills and confidence.

Bring creativity and technical excellence to how we verify hardware.

Drive automation and efficiency through scripting and next-generation verification tools.

Represent Arm’s leadership in verification internally and externally.

Job Requirements:

B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

10+ years of experience in hardware verification, including leadership or expert-level roles.

Strong experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, and scripting (Python, Perl, or similar) and Excellent debugging skills and a system-level approach.

Shown success defining and implementing verification strategies for complex CPU. Understanding of end-to-end verification processes, from test plan creation through to verification closure.

Deep understanding of random and Coverage-Driven verification methods.

Understanding of the computer architecture, with an emphasis on pipelining, exception handling, memory systems.

Ability to own all stages of a project to completion
