About CRO Service
As part of the CRDMO, WuXi Biologics CRO
Service offers industry-leading expertise, state-of-the-art facilities, and
multiple antibody generation technology platforms for the production and
discovery of novel monoclonal, bispecific and multi-specific antibodies, immune
cytokines and other biologics. We tailor solutions to best suit client’s
technical requirements and ensure key drug development milestones. The
discovery team comprises technology platforms for the production, generation,
selection, optimization, and characterization of antibodies or other biologic
molecules utilizing advanced approaches both in vitro and in vivo. In addition,
CRO service offers industry-leading high-throughput, high expression, and
state-of-the-art purification and analysis technologies for protein production,
with custom protein generation platforms for mammalian cells, E. coli, insect
cells, and yeast, combined with WuXi Biologics’ unique codon optimization
algorithm and fast DNA synthesis technology.
Job Responsibilities:
·
Coordinate with business department and technical team to
generate proposal according to client’s request for protein sciences and discovery
service program at pre-contract stage.
·
Manage research grade protein generation/analytics and/or
discovery service project(s) in a cross-function team, which scope covers DNA
synthesis, protein production, protein analysis (including micro
developability, and SPR analysis), antibody engineering, antibody discovery,
antibody optimization, in vitro bioassay and in vivo pharmacology. Organize
cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project while adhering
to scope, schedule, and quality requirements. Serve as interface between
technical team and clients in research stage program at project execution stage.

Develop and manage project in respect of scope, timeline,
budget, quality, communication and risk in accordance of the mission and goals
of WuXi Biologics and clients.
·
Support or manage related team to achieve technical excellence
(biologic development technical innovation and alignment) and/or operation
excellence (operational efficiency improvement and new workflow / platform
setup).
·
Organize and lead internal and external project meetings to
update progresses. Keep both WuXi Biologics team and clients updated in a
timely manner on the project progress and decision points through
teleconferences, e-mails, site visits or other suitable means.

Monitor timeline and contract for accuracy and follow up on any
discrepancies with clients and internal personnel. Confirm the completion of
work by stage with client and ensures invoices are sent to client for
processing.

Required Qualifications:
·
Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in Chemistry/Biologics Science,
Engineering or related major with 1-5 years of applicable work experience.
Exceptional candidates with related Bachelor degree and related working
experience will also be considered.

Excellent communication skill with problem solving capability is
a must. Capability of working in a highly diverse team in both culture and technical
background is required.
·
Competency in Microsoft Applications, including but not limited
to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
(Not Required):
·
Understand the overall workflow of biologics development or at
least one of biologics functions, including but not limited to biologics
discovery, cell line development, cell culture, purification, analytical
(bio)chemistry, formulation, DS/DP manufacturing, regulatory, quality,
engineering qualification/validation, etc.
·
Experience in project/program/portfolio management in any
industry. Knowledge in Project management science is highly appreciated. PMP
certificate can be a plus.
·
Enthusiasm in either biologics technical project management or
non-technical project management.
·
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both
English and Chinese will be a strong plus but not mandatory. Basic level in
Japanese, Korean, Cantonese or other major languages will be a plus.
