Main Purpose of Job:
- As an employee of the Food Safety Institute, provide and develop expertise in analytical chemistry related to chemical food safety and quality, in collaboration with internal and external expert communities.
Key Outputs:
- Build and maintain scientific expertise in analytical chemistry and chemical food safety & quality.
- Evaluate international and Chinese food safety standards and identify gaps in analytical method portfolios.
- Develop, optimize, validate and transfer analytical methods; design and execute analytical method-development projects.
- Manage analytical chemistry projects with authoritative technical bodies in China; communicate with Chinese research/technical bodies; represent Nestlé in industry associations and international peer events.
Key Experiences:
- PhD in analytical chemistry, chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, food science, environmental science, food safety or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an analytical laboratory; senior or expert-level experience preferred.
- Design and carry out analytical method development projects.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of analytical instrumentation and method development/validation.
- Proven knowledge and credit in analytical chemistry and food safety.
