Position Summary
As Infrastructure Head is responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s technology infrastructure. This role requires an individual with strong on-hands problem-solving abilities across networking architecture, server and virtualization management, cloud platform management, and infrastructure security standards. The candidate should have extensive experience in IT infrastructure management, large-scale project execution, and leading cross-functional international teams, experience in the pharmaceutical industry and GxP (GSP, GMP etc) infrastructure validation is highly desirable and considered a significant advantage.
• Infrastructure Strategy & Delivery:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy and roadmap aligned with the company's business goals and digital transformation initiatives.
o Lead the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, including new office/sites ALV projects, data center build-outs/upgrades, server and storage deployments, and cloud platform implementations.
o Own the budget planning, vendor selection, and project management for all infrastructure-related initiatives.
o Manage infrastructure projects, including planning, budgeting, execution, and evaluation, coordinate resource allocation and manage project priorities to align with business needs, manage relationships with hardware, software, and service vendors to optimize cost and service quality, Negotiate vendor contracts ensuring the best terms and service levels.
• Technical Design & Operations:
o Architect, implement, and manage the company's on-premises infrastructure: servers (physical/virtual), storage, backup/disaster recovery, and core networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN).
o Design, implement, and manage our virtualization platform (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) for optimal performance, resource utilization, and high availability.
o Lead the strategy and operations for cloud platforms (e.g., Alicould, AWS, Azure), including IaaS/PaaS services, governance, cost optimization, and hybrid cloud integrations.
o Establish and enforce hardware and infrastructure security standards, ensuring alignment with the company's overall cybersecurity framework.

• Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with the Cybersecurity & IT Risk team to implement security controls, manage vulnerabilities, and ensure infrastructure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., SOX, GxP data integrity principles).
o Collaborate seamlessly with the IT Service Desk and Operations teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, rapid incident resolution, and proactive performance monitoring.
• Compliance & Best Practices:
o Leverage experience in regulated environments to ensure infrastructure design and operations support GxP (GMP, GLP, GSP etc) validation requirements where applicable. Experience with infrastructure qualification is a significant plus.
o Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers, ensuring contractual obligations are met and service quality is maintained.
Recommended Education and Key Competency
College Diploma degree or above in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Note: A full-time bachelor’s degree is required as the first academic qualification.)
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including at least 5 years leading global or cross-functional teams.
Extensive experience with networking architecture, server and virtualization management, and cloud platforms.
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
In-depth knowledge of data centers, cloud services, network security, and system administration.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, able to formulate and execute effective strategies in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in English, with CET-4 (College English Test Band 4) or above preferred.
