Senior Officer - Digitalization & Intelligent Data Platform Development, Fleet Technical

Accountabilities
Assist the Assistant Manager of Data Platform in the development and continuous enhancement of the company’s data platform. Support end-to-end activities, including requirements gathering, architecture implementation, feature development, testing, and deployment, to ensure stable and efficient platform operations
Support the collection, cleansing, integration, transformation, and structuring of diverse fleet business data. Consolidate fragmented and redundant data and assist in establishing standardized data structures to support business operations and management decision-making
Participate in routine data analysis and computation. Assist in developing basic data models, compiling KPI statistics, conducting data reviews and trend analysis, and identifying potential data anomalies. Prepare standardized data reports and analytical outputs
Support daily database operations and maintenance, including database setup, schema optimization, index tuning, data backup, and troubleshooting, to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient data access
Assist in enhancing platform functionality, addressing system vulnerabilities and technical issues, and improving data processing, computation, and query efficiency. Follow up on evolving business requirements to support business growth and development
Liaise with internal business departments to address day-to-day data requirements. Handle ad hoc data queries, statistical analysis, and data extraction, and assist in developing standardized data solutions to support departmental needs
Requirements
University graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Good in at least one mainstream programming language, such as Python, Java, or Go, with basic coding and debugging skills to support application development and optimization
Good understanding of the data platform development lifecycle and system architecture, with familiarity with fundamental data cleansing, integration, and batch-processing workflows. Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, with basic knowledge of database design, index optimization, and database maintenance.
Strong logical and analytical thinking, with the ability to identify and organize data-related issues. Diligent, responsible, and results-oriented, with good communication and teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively on development projects and data deliverables.
Prior internship or project experience in data platform development, big data processing, or database maintenance is preferred. Familiarity with enterprise-grade data systems or fleet/shipping-related business data would be an advantage.
Good command of written and spoken English
