工作总结:

Primary Function

Provides Field Evaluation Services (Special Inspection and US Field Evaluation) services to clients in any part of the world. Under general direction, provides Field Evaluation services for clients from the application review stage to the point at which the product is labelled and beyond. Holds projects and conducts on-site evaluations and testing of electrical/electronic products under Field Evaluation guidelines. Witnesses tests at factory locations.

Principal Duties &Responsibilities

Understanding the Business

Performs technical evaluations of non-certified equipment within their area of expertise. Ensures product meets technical requirements and is free of potential for fire and shock hazards.

Technically competent to evaluate all products, including new and unique products, based on the scope of the Field Evaluation program with assistance of other technical staff as necessary.

Familiar with NFPA 70, CEC PART I, NFPA79 and SPE-1000.

Working Well with Others

Communicates with clients in a professional manner to schedule inspection appointments, review costing procedures, answer questions, and provide technical information service.

Participate in ongoing training and continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on changes in codes, standards and other requirements.

Responds to client needs in a timely, professional, helpful, and courteous manner. - Delivering Results.

Documents with sufficient detail, technical reports for required alterations to sub-standard equipment.

Preparing written reports and documentation of inspection findings, including corrective actions.

Concern for Safety.

Follows working instructions, JSA requirements or safe working procedures.

Wears the correct PPE and informs colleagues to ensure they are wearing proper PPE.

Completes all assigned HSSE training and courses and understands the content and applicability to role.

Preferred Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related Sciences or 3 years industry related experience; Engineering Technology or Associates Degree with related experience; or a Journeyman Electrician with 3 years industry related experience; or related technical field with 5+ years industry related experience Certification/Lab/field testing experience preferred § Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, as well as general laboratory procedures

Ability to manage multiple projects and changing schedules and deadlines with supervision

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test data as required to complete assigned duties § Strong interpersonal skills; self-starter; good decision-making skills, communication and organizational skills

Strong conflict resolution skills to be able to handle difficult situations Computer skills (word processing, e-mail)

Usage of calibrated measurement instruments, high voltage test equipment, hand tools
